Alright, let’s be real for a second. The internet is drowning in generic tech articles. You know the ones—they feel like they were churned out by a robot that’s never actually gotten frustrated trying to get a smart bulb to connect at 2 AM. I started Noustra.com because I was tired of that. I wanted a place that talked about tech like we’re all just friends geeking out in a coffee shop. It’s about the story behind the gadget, the passion behind the code, the sheer frustration of a bug that just won’t quit.
But here’s the thing: my perspective is just one of many. Tech is too massive, too weird, and too wonderful for just one voice. That’s where you come in. I’m literally sitting here, hoping there are people like you who have a killer idea bouncing around in your head, an idea that deserves a real audience.
So, consider this a personal invitation. Come write for us. Let’s build this thing together.
Why Bother? What’s in it for you?
I get it. Writing a good article takes time and brainpower. It’s a commitment. So why should you spend that energy here?
- A Real Audience That Actually Cares: Your post won’t just disappear into a content void. It’ll be read by folks who are genuinely into this stuff. They’re the kind of people who read the comments and actually leave thoughtful ones. It’s pretty cool.
- Prove You Know Your Stuff: Want to be the person everyone thinks of when they have a question about, say, mechanical keyboards or home lab servers? This is a perfect way to build that rep. It looks great on a portfolio and feels even better when someone emails you to thank you for your guide.
- One Solid Dofollow Link: I know how the game is played. As a proper “thank you” for your hard work, you get one dofollow link right in your author bio. Link to your blog, your LinkedIn, your favorite social project—whatever you’re proud of.
- I’ll Actually Help You Edit (I Promise): I’m not just going to run your article through a grammar checker and hit publish. If something’s not clear, I’ll ask about it. If a section could be stronger, I’ll suggest a way to beef it up. I see this as a team effort.
The Rules (Please, Please Read These)
Okay, this is the important bit. To keep this place from turning into every other bland site out there, I have to be a little strict. These rules aren’t just suggestions; they’re the foundation of what makes this site different.
1. NO AI. SERIOUSLY. I’M BEGGING YOU.
This is the biggest one. I have a sixth sense for AI-generated content at this point. It has this certain… soullessness. It uses words like “leveraging” and “utilizing” and never once stops to say, “and then I spilled coffee on my keyboard.”
I want your voice. The real, human one. The one that makes a dumb joke sometimes or gets a little too excited about a well-designed circuit board. I want the articles that only you could write because they’re born from your actual experiences. If I even suspect an article is AI-written (and I use a couple tools to check, I won’t lie), it’s an automatic no-go. No hard feelings, but it’s just not what we’re doing here.
2. Go Deep or Go Home: 1000+ Words Minimum
I know, 1000 words sounds like a lot. But honestly, once you get going on a topic you love, it’s easy to hit. The point isn’t to fluff it up with useless info; the point is to give yourself the space to really explain something properly.
A 500-word review might tell me the specs of a new phone. A 1000+ word review tells me what it’s actually like to live with it for two weeks. It talks about the battery life on a busy Tuesday, how the camera performs at a kid’s birthday party, and whether the glossy back is a fingerprint magnet. See the difference? We’re all about that second one.
3. One Link. In Your Bio. That’s it.
You get your one dofollow link in the little author box at the end. Please don’t try to sneak links into the article body. It breaks the flow for the reader and feels kinda salesy. Let the article itself be the gift. The link in your bio is the well-deserved credit.
4. Stuff We’re Really Into Right Now
Think of this as my current playlist of interests. I’d love articles on:
- Real-World Reviews: Did you test a new gadget for a month? Tell me the whole story, not just the first impressions.
- How-To Guides That Don’t Skip the Hard Parts: Write the guide you wish you’d had. The one that explains why a step matters, not just what to do.
- Opinion Pieces with Guts: Got a hot take on the future of AI? Think a popular app is actually terrible? I love a good, well-argued opinion. Just back it up with your reasoning.
- Niche, Nerdy Deep Dives: Seriously, the nerdier the better. Explain the history of the USB connector. Walk me through building a Raspberry Pi-powered pet feeder. I live for this stuff.
How This Whole Thing Works
Here’s the step-by-step, no surprises.
Step 1: Pitch Me Your Idea (Don’t just send a whole article!)
Shoot me an email at noustra.com@gmail.com. The subject line should be something like “Article Pitch: [Your Cool Idea]”.
In the email, just tell me:
- What you want to write about, in a few sentences.
- Why you’re the person to write it (you don’t need a fancy resume, just a sentence about your experience is fine).
- Maybe a link to something else you’ve written, if you have it. No worries if not!
Step 2: I’ll Get Back to You (Probably with too many exclamation points)
I try to reply within a week. If I like the idea, I’ll send you a “Heck yes, let’s do it!” email. I might also say, “Hmm, what about this angle instead?” Let’s chat about it.
Step 3: You Write the Thing
Write it up in a Google Doc. It makes giving feedback super easy. Give it a read-through for any glaring typos (we all make ’em, but a quick check helps).
Step 4: The Edit Dance
I’ll read it, make suggestions, ask questions in the comments. It might take a couple of back-and-forths. My goal is to make your article the best it can be, not to change your voice.
Step 5: We Hit Publish!
Once it’s ready, I’ll schedule it and let you know when it goes live. I’ll share it on our socials, and I’d be stoked if you did too!
Final Though
I really believe there’s a need for more human writing online. Writing with fingerprints on it. Writing that sounds like you.
If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, I’m genuinely excited to hear from you. Let’s make something great.
Cheers,
Adam (CEO At Noustra)
